ANA MILENA / 1000_E

Bogotá, Colombia

The Colombian artist 1000_E is characterized by the representation of hair and female figure as recurring elements in her plastic work. She interprets hair as the main memory-generating component. We have to remember the days when we wore our hair purple or with a punk crest to understand our position in life at that time. Her profession as a graphic designer and her work as a children's and editorial illustrator have been fundamental pillars in her artistic evolution. She mixes techniques such as analog and digital drawing, the use of acrylics, vinyl, and a scale and reduction of analog colors. Currently, 1000_E is exploring the male figure, especially the child one. She settled in New York City a little more than two years ago and has not abandoned her work as a muralist as she continues to develop urban interventions through her participation in a variety of calls.
